Blarney Stone Popcorn calls Shannon, Illinois its home. Many ask, where did the name come from? Shannon, Illinois and Shannon, Ireland are sister cities. Shannon, Illinois proudly uses the shamrock as its logo and character. With that in mind, the name of Blarney Stone Popcorn came about. We are planning on a little luck of the Irish with the name of Blarney Stone.
Blarney Stone Popcorn has partnered with TeeLee Popcorn of Shannon for unpopped corn for producing its flavored popcorns. In addition, TeeLee supplies Blarney Stone Popcorn with their White and Yellow unpopped corn and a line of microwave popcorn called Primetime for sale in the retail store and on-line. TeeLee is well known in the Midwest for its premium hulless popcorn that is locally grown in the heart of the cornbelt. Furthermore, TeeLee is an international company selling to over 35 countries.
After opening the retail store on August 20, 2008 we have feverishly worked to present programs for group fundraisers, custom printed microwave popcorn bags, corporate gifts and our own internet store.
